. Installing the bca2000-driver-setup.2.1.0.6.zip driver via compatibility mode: (Postby Ronnie Vernon MVP). Seeing if you can get basic WDM sound working for the device and then trying ASIO4ALL for low latency audio (Note: From Behringer's site that this is how they got the BCD3000working in Windows 7 64 Bit) and then crossing your finger and trying BEHRINGERMIDIX641.0.10.zip for the MIDI functionality (This one was apparently written by Behringer).

If that doesn't work, you might try posting here: or here. Hi Thanks for the post! I will give your advice a shot and let you know how I fair-out.I may go as far as installing win 7 again without 64-bit as it was an option and I paused for a moment to consider changing it:-PThe BCA does work; however, it won't speak a word through my computer unless the driver installs.I am using Cakewalk Sonar 7 for the audio DAW and the VST's associated through it and Reason 4 for the Midi in rewire mode.ThanksjohnP.S. Tried compatibility mode and still no dice. Everything installed but windows won't recognize the file as a driver.Too bad there wasn't a 32-bit compatibility mode as well:-). I may go as far as installing win 7 again without 64-bitIf you do this, you will probably have better luck with the 32 Bit XP Driver bca2000-driver-setup.2.1.0.6.zip, but you will have problems trying to access any memory over 3 Gigs.

In general, it is REALLY difficult to get more than 3 Gigs of RAM working on any32 Bit MS Windows operating system. I think there are some funny games you can play with Physical Address Extensions (PAE),but they probably aren't worth messing with in your environment since they may cause new issues. The BCA does workCan you get any sound at all with the native Win 7 drivers? Start-Control Panel-Small Icons-Sound-Sounds Tab-Windows Asterisk Sound-Test Button? If you can at least get some sound, then you might be able to use ASIO4ALL as I suggested above. It's areal bummer the didn't release Vista drivers for your BCA2000. If they did, you would probably be okay. Also, you might post here in addition to those mentioned above:.Warning.
1At this thread, user 'rnms' claimed to get the BCA2000 to work in Win 7 beta, but I have my doubts:The sad part about it all is that 'rnms' never said what he did to get it to work. You might want to try signing up with KVR 1 and contacting 'rnms' both privately and via the thread to see if he will tell you what he did. If you get it working, postyour solution here, because this is still a mystery to me.1 - I'm pretty sure that KVR, Cubase and Cakewalk forums don't support 128 Bit SSL Login encryption like this Microsoft Answers forums does. If you do login to these forums, be mindful that your password could potentially be stolen. On the other hand, when you login to Microsoft Answers via the https link, your password is reasonably safe provided you chose the 128 Bit SSL option and examine the certificate (click on little yellow lock) for authenticity. Jegenes wrote from KVR Audio forum:I've got it working on Win 7, 32 bit. It won't work for 64 bit. I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the drivers working, but here's how I did it:1) downloaded the driver (ver 2.1.0.6) and unzipped it.2) Right click the setup.exe file and choose 'Properties', then, 'Compatibility'.
Make sure it's running in Compatibility Mode (if so, it'll already be checked, and greyed out)3) switch your BCA off4) run the setup file for it5) this is where it gets sticky. It didn't install correctly. It copied all the files to a folder: C:Behringerbut then wouldn't complete the install. I closed the installation app.6) I looked at the Behringer subfolder there, C:BehringerBCA2000 and noticed it was locked.
I right-clicked it, chose 'Share With - Specific People', then chose 'Everybody'.7) I opened up my Windows Device Manager and looked at the Sound Devices. It wasn't there. But there was and 'Unknown Device' in 'Other Devices'I double clicked the Unknown Device and chose 'Update Driver', then 'Browse My Computer.'
And pointed it to the C:Behringer folder (make sure the 'subfolders' box is checked)9) it took awhile, but it installed the driver. But the BCA has TWO drivers, so I went back to 'Other Devices', and did the same thing with 'Unknown Device' again.
It installed the 2nd driver. They both showed up under 'Sound Devices'10) I switched the BCA on. Ignored the fact that Windows couldn't install the driver. I went to the Behringer folder and ran the bca2kcpan application and the BCA Control Panel opened okay.11) I rebooted the computer and the BCA Control panel now shows up in my taskbar. Be aware that Windows 7 doesn't seem to recognize the BCA as a sound device. If I go into my 'Playback Devices' or 'Recording Devices', it simply isn't listed. However, it doescome up in Cakewalk Sonar Producer, in Reaper, Kontakt and other apps.
It doesn't work with Windows Media Player, iTunes, or any apps that look for the default Windows sound device. I can't seem to figure out how to intall it as the default device, as it doesn'tcome up in my 'Sound' settings windows.hope this helps some. It's confusing, I know, but at least the damned thing works now. From me, Aaron:Man I hope it is not this hard to get it to work with Windows 7 32 bit?Maybe I should just stick with Windows XP PRO version for now. I then would know that all my older PCI sound cards and USB hardware will work atleast. It is a shame to not have Behringer and others update their USB hardware drivers. It means loyalty to their customers which they don't have, since they just want to sell another new piece that will be outdated the next year.
